Very nice hotel just across the road from the Alhambra, pool very welcome as 43 degrees in May, also convenient for evening visit to Alhambra. Breakfast buffet good, plenty of choice and well stocked. Had lunch in restaurant a la carte which was also good , hotel staff very friendly, room spacious, clean and quiet. Local bus to Granada close... More

Too far from the center. 20 mins by walk from Alhambra to the city. 30 number bus-van is routing till 11pm. Taxi is cheap (like 5-7 euro by meter from gran via). Room is quite nice, bath is ok, staff is friendly, breakfasts are great. Audience is above 40-50.

The biggest attraction in Granada is Alhambra. and this hotel is right opposite it. i cant say the rooms were amazing but i cant say they were terrible either. They were ok. The restaurant was very popular for their buffet. Good living here!

Very nice - spacious, clean and pleasant room - view of countryside and the Sierras (photo aattached). Breakfast included - lots of choice but if you're english dont touch the sausages... More

We stayed three nights in late April 2012. The hotel had a beautiful outdoor swimming pool.just right for the hot weather (mid-20c) that we were experiencing. Trouble was that pool was empty and being cleaned, and so was the surrounding terrace area. More uncomfortable, was the bedroom which was relatively small, and because we were out of season, had no... More

A quiet place, right near Alhambra entrance. Which means a 15-20 min. uphill struggle (through a beauuutiful alleyway though) when returning from town center (alternatively, 6-7 euro from the Cathedral on a taxi, and about 10-12 euro from train station ). On the plus side, you can take the night walks around Alhambra - the atmosphere, with the sound of... More

I found this hotel rather dark and old fashioned. But our room was spacious, although the shower was terrible, situated over the bath and with one of those horrible shower curtains which wraps itself around your body. Thank goodness for my husband's trusty swiss army knife! This hotel is very busy especially at meal times. There is a wide choice... More

The Alixares is well situated for those intending to visit the Alhambra and the No. 30 bus nearby makes frequent trips into the town. The hotel caters mainly for short stay visitors but is comfortable and has a restaurant which is not only good but very reasonably priced. I found the shower room in a twin bedded room( used as...
