I wanted to treat my in-laws to a visit to the Alhambra to celebrate her birthday and celebrate we did! A friend had emailed us tips on where to go and what to see so we were well prepared with pre-booked tickets to the Alhambra and a mission to see everything else! The hotel is superbly positioned for a sightseeing... More

Family run hotel which is quite small but we certainly had a lovely room. Breakfast was very good. super position for visiting Alhambra. Delightful 20 minute downhill walk into town through trees, plus there is a frequent (every 10 mins) minibus service taking your to /from town centre for €1.20. Staff were very helpful especially when we wanted to watch... More

Mostly good this one, and tending positive. Well-priced and certainly value-for-money. Beyond that, it primarily depends on the focus of your visit to Granada. In my case, it was research on the Alhambra and for this purpose the Guadulupe was spot-on: literally across the road from the monument. On a previous visit, I had stayed downtown, tickets were not available... More

Hotel bedroom was clean . . . and near the Alhambra's entrance (which, by the way, pre book tickets). The plumbing was noisy i.e. anyone flushing a toilet/washing hands nearby, sounded like Niagra Falls flowing through. Breakfast was basic . . . their ideas of fresh fruit was out the tin or a selection in a basket for you to... More

We arrived in Granada on the 21st of March after a 6 hour coach journey from Alicante, we wanted to do something special for my 25th Birthday. I have lived in spain for 3 years so thought by now I would be used to the spanish ways... I was really not prepared for what we experienced in the 5 days... More

I am an elderly experienced world traveler who does a lot of research before a trip and who is quite picky but not overly so. This hotel is modern, clean, comfortable, friendly, and generally flawless, and is across the street from the alhambra, and next to the hotel from which the early morning private guided tours of the alhambra depart... We asked for room 412 (with the terrace overlooking the Alhambra). Fantastic view! In fact the view was so great and having a terrace to enjoyable we chose to ignore a terrible sewer smell that was in the bathroom.(not something we would normally do) Just kept the fan on and kept the door shut. The room was fairly dated and tired... First time in Granada and this hotel had everything we needed. Clean rooms and right opposite the Alhambra. The staff were very helpful, especially with pre-booking tickets to the Alhambra (pre-booking tix is an absolute must). About a 15 minute walk into the old town of Granada and about 30 minutes into the Albaicyn (another must do). Hotel is getting... More

As others have said, "Location" is a big issue: you're across the street from the ticket stands for the Alhambra, and it's easy as can be to nip over there after dinner to see if there are any tickets for the NIGHT wanderings in the Alhambra (WELL worth the effort!). Runners/walkers: it's a great stepping-off point for running/wandering the Camino... More

As others have said location next to the Alhambra is a big plus and for those driving having parking readily available (at a price) is very important. Furnishings of our room were looking quite dated, however the bathroom was quite nice. The room was cleaned very well. Staff were quite professional and helpful. Summary: clean, safe, good service in a... More
