This is a perfectly adequate hotel with everything you need for a good value accommodation. The food is great and the rooms have everything you need but there are no frills which may be ideal if, like us you are not going to spend hours at the hotel relaxing. The Altenburg Hof is a quiet hotel. Modern surroundings, nicely kept, plus the room was of a good standard. Breakfast was ample - not as much choice as other 4 star hotels, but still very good. “Great value for money”

Great hotel and friendly staff. Bit like a Holiday Inn. Breakfast good and plenty of it. If arriving after 10pm the restaurant will be closed. Not many places round about open at night. Aultenburg is a small town but not lively in the evening.

we didn't like this hotel at all.The room was too small and it was dirty.the food wasn't great.and the service was terrible.And the staff at the hotel weren't friendly at all.The location was great and the city altenburg was beautifull.But that's the only thing we liked
