In a recent trip to Germany, we stayed at the Hotel Prinz Eugen in Dresden. The hotel was very reasonably priced, the facility very clean, the room larger than average, and the location in a quiet residential neighborhood but just a 5 minute walk to the tram! In suburbs of Dresden. Good price value but don't expect much. Its very basic, but I often see such hotels in Germany, Could be made a bit more modern. We didn't have breakfast included although we could get it for 12 Euro.

Good, safe car parking in this hotel. Once you climb the steps into reception, from there a lift will take you to your room level. Reception staff were very friendly and speak excellent English. The Prinz Eugen is one block away from the perfect bakery right on the Elba river. Skip breakfast at the hotel, and go sit in the sun by the river--you are almost in the country.
