We spent in this hotel a weekend for the celebration of the Japan Day in Düsseldorf. The pluses: friendly front desk staff, large rooms, good location, good breakfast The minuses: no coffee/tea making facilities in the room (and a tea costs 4.50 euro), no free internet connection in the room, a HUUUGE construction site just in front of it, making... Stayed at the hotel for Christmas market. The hotel has very nice location in the very center of shopping area, by the old city. You can reach by 20 mimutes walking any shop at Ko allee and any restaurant in Alt Stadt ( old part of the city). The service at the hotel done by old germal ladies, so it... More

The first time we visited Steigenberger was in December 2009. We stayed in a deluxe room which was a beautiful, spacious, light blue room.In our second visit we stayed in a superior room which was very good too. Breakfast was excellent. A varriety of everything served in a neat restaurant with luxurious furniture. The location is perfect.Downtown in koenigsalle where you can... More

I stayed here on business and found the hotel room and restaurant both excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaints would be the price is a little high and you pay for everything as an extra (breakfast and internet) and the construction underway in front of the hotel made it a little hard to find the... Lovely hotel, great food and great service. The centre of Düsseldorf itself is pretty uninspiring but its business centre and nightlife make up for it.

I stayed here for two nights in the Robert Schumann Suite (room 320). I had an offer on this suite, for which I prepaid whilst booking it about 8 months in advance. The suite was lovely. A huge bedroom, a huge bathroom, wardrobe, enormous living room, second toilet, a total of three TVs ... and all tastefully decorated. And the... More

Stayed here for two nights on Eurovision weekend so I suppose with 30,000 extra potential weekend residents the prices were going to be higher (450 Euros vs. Normal 280 Euros)That said it certainly didn't feel, once inside, like the explosion of the Eurovision was about - a good central spot to escape the madness (I expect as reassuring when there... Good, but old hotel. Rooms were noisy and not well equipped. Wallpaper in my suite was ugliest decoration I have seen in some years. Bed was not very comfortable for two people. Location of hotel is excellent for Altstadt and Koenigstrasse. Hotel staff is helpful to a point. Breakfast is very good. Valiue is just average for price and amenities... More

We were required to overnight in Duseldorf on a flight returning to Canada. We loved the hotel, felt the room was excellent , the staff were very friendly and in spite of the immediate construction project enjoyed our stay. We had never been to Duseldorf and were intrigued with the shops etc ., so much that we plan to return... More

Am staying at this hotel now. Do not let the grand facade fool you. The interior of the hotel is very tired -- looks like it has not been updated in years. The room is fairly utilitarian and the TV is an old Phillips tube television likely 20 yrs or more. Depressing atmosphere, the hotel is just across the street... More
