I arrived in Braunschweig late afternoon from Hauptbahnhoff Berlin with the Berlin-Munchen ICE and quickly took a taxi to Mevenpick center city as the cold got stronger in Lower Saxony. This hotel could have been of a Scandinavian ownership as its minimalism is obvious in all of its interior volumes.

In the middle of downtown Braunschweig you find this business hotel, where I am a regular guest. The rooms are always clean and very functional. The staff is polite and efficient, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. I am still missing a fitness room and free wifi. With that it would have been a top score.

Well located, comfortable, nice restaurant and breakfast service. Down on business center (small single PC in a dark smelly corner) and other services (laundry got lost and barely made the check out with me). Urban views but at walking distance from shopping and visiting areas.
