I stayed for two nights during Documenta and had a very good time in this hotel. You can purchase the tickets here. The staff is friendly and give us good tips. Nearest tram is 5 mins away from the hotel. Wifi is available in the room. Breakfast is good for the price (5 euro).

Not really top-notch, but what you can expect for 45 euros for one night. We arrived here after a 10 hour drive and free parking in the courtyard was included. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Even though we checked in after the hotel front desk was closed for the night, the staff was very helpful. We had a minor problem with our reservantion, but they went out of the way to accomodate us. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were spotless. Breakfast was well above average.

Stayed 3 days here. Functional, youth-hostel-ish, but tolerable. It's just ... well ... in Kassel. Or, like Documenta 12, it's hugely disappointing. The common areas of the hotel felt like university halls, but there were (bizarrely ubiquitous) gummi bears on pillows, screwed-to-the-wall shower gel and quasi-aggressive/helpful staff.
