Was for 2 nights in the Mercure Hamburg airport. Slightly disappointing, as the standard of the hotel would be 3 stars. Sales people meeting point. Bigger groups, not dedicated to cover individual travellers needs. Lousy room service, n0 mini bar, old furniture. Standard prices way too expensive for the quality renedered.

Nice hotel near the airport, free shuttle service. Quiet location, large rooms and comfortable beds. U-Bahn station just 500 meters. Good breakfast and specially good and polite service in the restaurant and also in reception. Good value for your money. Free Wi-Fi only in the lobby.

The shuttle arrived promptly. Check-in and check-out were efficient and friendly. I really liked the quiet dinner I had at the restaurant. There is a Lidl close by. I felt my room was too warm and looked in vain for the thermostat. The next morning I found it beind the curtains. DOH! Otherwise no complaints!

The breakfast was very good, but the bathroom needed a refreshment! We were lucky to get a transfer to the airport, but you can´t count on it. So next time I would prefer another hotel, where the transfer is garanted! The check-in was ok, but not very friendly. The prize was ok.

I waited 40 mins for airport shuttle when told it would take 10 mins. The aircon in the room did not work so I had to sleep with the windows open - not good at an airport hotel due aircraft noise. Not impressed!
