This a lovely place in beautiful surrounding yet only minutes away from Potsdam. Service is excellent, the breakfast sumptuous and the rooms delightful. All in the German tradition of excellence. However, the 1* restaurant did not meet with our expectations. Nevertheless we enjoyed the stay there so much that we extended it for a full week.

This hotel which belongs to the Relais & Chateaux association offer quiet a lot to its customers, 2 restaurants of which a gourmet, a nice swiming pool with a spa. The Bayrisches Haus, as has already been mentioned, sits at the end of a long narrow road in the middle of heavily wooded parkland. Beautiful quiet location. Very friendly waiters. Room nicely furnished. Nice bathroom. BUT.... Definately NOT a 5 star hotel. Spa was basically closed as they oparate with part time staff, no treatments were available. Water cooler in the spa was empty, nobody came to refill.
