Not 5 star by any means, but clean, comfortable and extremely convenient. M1 tram takes you into Mitte in 15 minutes. Prenzlauer Berg is interesting, with lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, and a couple of historical sights such as the Water Tower and the Synagogue. The room was very spacious and stylishly furnished. Transport is close by and Mitte is easily walkable. There are parks around that are good to run around. This area of Prenzlauerberg is a little out of the action, but the room is affordable, cleaned everyday and I enjoyed my time here.

Not in a touristy area, this is a good location for folks who want to stay in "East Berlin" and still have good access to the train for sightseeing.
