This is a very basic, slightly glorified hostel. The only thing separating it from hostels is the rooms have bathrooms attached (no common bathroom for an entire floor) and they only cram 3 people into a room instead of 18. "Studentenhotel" sounds like a youth hostel, and maybe it is like a youth hostel if you stay at the dorm rooms.
