Mortified at the prospect of another "same old Christmas" we made a last minute dash for it and found ourselves at the Fantasia. The hotel could not have looked and acted more Bavarian. Plusses: -just been renovated, everything brand new, clean and quite nice -being a 2 star hotel prices are affordable -parking on the premises -just a 5 minute walk from the old town -nice lady at the reception will furnish you with every possible information about the region Minusses: -reception not directly discernible, although right in front of the hotel.

Stayed 2 nights immediately after flying in from Australia. Great location, easy walk from train and buses. Easy walk around the town. Friendly service. Even though we couldn't get the wifi to work, the hotel provided computers to use free of charge. Room very comfortable and despite the freezing temperatures we were toasty warm. Great value and would recommend.
