If they would renovate the Hotel it will be a great place. The bed is good as in most US chains, the rooms are overused and especially the bathroom is a disaster. The shower did not work properly.

Loved the location and a nice room within proximity to town. Easy walk and alot going on in Regensburg at that time. Carnival atmosphere, Octoberfest type gathering called Dult.
We spent three nights using points in a room 218, which is on the third floor about 20 meters from the canal. When we could hear them coming, we rushed to the window to see huge barges and river cruisers pass through the canal....that was very cool because they are huge boats. Most of the rooms do not have canal...

I booked this hotel via points on a recent trip to Germany. Stayed here for one night. As a free night, it couldn't be beat!
As to location, yes it's a bit of a walk from the main attractions of Regensburg. While the reception desk gave us a map and recommended walking route, I suggest taking the first bridge over...

My wife and I stayed one night at the Marriot in Regensburg and found it very clean and convenient to a major highway as we traveled through Germany. It is very close to the town which is great for shopping and sightseeing. We ate in the hotel restaurant and found the service to be prompt, courteous, and the food was...

This hotel is a 15 minute walk to the centre fine for the day but in dress shoes we took a taxi in the evening for approximate 8 euros. The hotel is a little dated in decor but extremely clean with friendly staff. We would stay there again.
Value for price, a very good hotel. It's a Courtyard, don't expect the taj mahal, but it is clean, spacious, has a nice bar and restaurant. Good breakfast, included in room rate. Wished there was a water kettle in room for tea coffee service. Also, room lacked a safe for storing valuables.
Took about 20 minutes to walk to city...

This is a fairly standard hotel. It is a bit out of town but I walked it in about 20 mins and so not too bad for location. I got a taxi back that cost about 10 Euros.
The rooms are a bit "tired" although reasonably clean. Service from the reception staff was very good. Didn't eat there in the...

I was debatting a while on the overall rating. I have very mixed feelings about the hotel. The hotel is located nicely along the canal, but not too close to downtown (and really anything else). It is a 20-30 mins walk or 10 Euros cab drive into the old city, so basically acceptable. The hotel lobby, restaurant is trendy and...

I stayed two separate times in the past month on business from the U.S. and found this hotel to be up to Mariott standards. Alhough a little out of the way as far as walking to downtown, it is not a problem for folks with cars.
I had a nice room facing the river both times, and it was nice...
