Have stayed in the Schreiberhof several times over the last few years whilst visiting Munich, due to my company office being in this part of town.
As mentioned it doesn’t look much from the outside, but inside it is a pleasant, clean Bavarian style hotel, and tends to be one of the more reasonable cost options in the Ascheim /Dornach...

We had a two-day meeting at the Schreiberhof in July 2009 and all I can say is, that everything was flawless. The rooms as well as the conference-room were clean and beautiful, the staff in the hotel was absolutely helpful and friendly, and our lunch and dinner at the restaurant did not leave any wishes.

The area (a suburb on outskirts of Munich) has quite some chestnut trees, but the hotel itself has some inner similarities also. Outside looks traditional Bavarian and a bit ugly, with the compulsory 'biergarten' next to the restaurant which will probably create lots of local noise in the autumn evenings.
Inside, however, is quite a different story - quite beautifully...
