The Hotel Munchner Kindl is a great family run hotel in die Alstadt, a block away from Die Augustiner-Großgaststätten, and in a really good location. The owner is most wonderful - her hotel is comfortable, very clean, and charming. Rick Steves recommended the hotel, and he was right to do so.

We reserved 2 rooms here during Oktoberfest. Our confirmation email was for 2 rooms with double beds and a sink in each room, with shower and toilet down the hall. When we arrived, we found out they had lied to us...there was NO SHOWER...just a toilet . Since it was Oktoberfest...we were stuck! Don't stay here!

We had a triple room at the Münchner Kindl for 3 nights during Oktoberfest. This hotel was fantastic! The triple rooms all come with a small ensuite bathroom with a small shower. Everything was extremely clean. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff was welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and is surprisingly quiet at night time!
