I was staying in Helvetia in November 2012 for business. For two nights I had to pay 490€. For that money, I had: - no breakfast - no internet connection - a very small room with one window facing the emergency exit/hall Never again.

One night cost E255.00 for a triple room which felt like 12 sq mt with a tiny bathroom. Reception was so narrow that two people could barely pass. Internet worked, but only just, so slow that most text only emails failed to send - when asked reception replied that 500 other people don't have a problem then, when demonstrated, said... More

It is a nice hotel in the centre of Munich. Very close to the train station. Ask for a room not on the street site, because the street site is very noisy. Breakfast is very good, after 4 nights the breakfast did not bore us.

The Helvetia is less than 3 blocks from main train station, 2 blocks from Hop On Hop Off bus stop. The hotel is located across the road from the main train station. We caught the train from the airport which was really easy - the train takes about 40 minutes. The staff at the hotel were friendly. A very nice hotel close to the train station. The staff was very helpful, especially the young woman at the front desk at night, with restaurant recommendations and suggestions for things to see. Center of the city was a short walk and trams out front go everywhere.
