This place is great, I stayed here for the start of Oktoberfest, nice staff - brilliant location, bright room - it's not fancy but it's a great budget pension. Other reviewers have complained about the breakfast but I felt it was fine for the price.

We were given a very large, airy room with bath for 2 in the rear building behind a courtyard. The room had an excellent large bed and a large bathhroom. You DO have to climb stairs. Avoid the front building as the streetcars run long hours in front. Nice continental breakfast provided. Helpful staff and good value for the money.... More

I thought that the Beck was disappointing at best. Dirty rooms, extremely pungent staff, and an absurd "breakfast" consisting of hard bread and butter. The rooms are dirt cheap though, and if money is your constraint, it is a bearable accomodation in the wonderful city of Munich.
