Wow - it was like stepping back in a time machine! Not a bad little hotel if all you need is a clean room and bed for the night, but some areas and the rooms are very dated. It was very clean, but has had no modernising in some time. The restaurant food was good, but the menu is very... More

We were surprised the Mercure was this pricey for an out of the way location like this, but the room was very nice, clean and comfortable. No complaints at all about the room or the service. Didn't eat breakfast because it was too expensive.

The refurbishment in St. Etienne has really helped.- The bathrooms are now in an acceptabel level. i wish it would be possible to have proper bacon and scrampled eggs, instead of the strange fluid being served today. Except from this the a have no complaints.

The location of the hotel makes it difficult to find. I lost time to find it. How can a hotel of this class have a failing card system ? My credit card was cancelled. The food was great and waiters were top.

I stayed 1 night in this hotel by mid-July. Very well located: just in front of a wonderful green area. Not very well located: far away from the railway station. Not so convenient without a car. Rooms are standard rooms of Mercure, service is good as well as cleanliness. Breakfast is very good, with a bio corner. The first problem... More

The hotel is located near Parc of Europe and from our window we saw the tree of the parc and tge refreshing green. The room we had was large with a medium window. The beds were very comfortable, with very matresses. The bathroom not to large but very functional. The service at the reception, room and dining room excelent. We had... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is old and dated but clean and quiet. I had reserved a nonsmoking room but as soon as I entered my room I noticed an ashtray. However, the room did not smell of smoking so I chose not to complain. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, the airconditioning worked... More

Very dated property that's somewhat rescued by its pleasant staff. Rooms extremely dated and not particularly attractive, but fairly large and everything worked. Close to a pleasant park, but a nearly 10 minute walk to public transit (and uphill on the way home). Breakfast good. Free wifi in the lobby and bar.
