I am surprised to read some of the previous reviews. Our experience at the Alpaga was generally good. The majority of the staff were very helpful. This is a really nice hotel in a nice area in a nice ski resort. The room was lovely with an amazing bathroom and we really enjoyed the spa - I don't really understand... More

Upon arrival, we took lunch in the bar. Service was appalling. Mistakes in the order of wine - and we are French speakers (Belgian), very unhandy waitress. Had no experience whatsoever. She took the glasses with her full hand by the top of the glass. Very unprofessional and not hygienic. The hotel room for my mother was very good. The... More

My husband and I travel extensively and have stayed in countless hotels all over the world, from budget to five star and beyond, and I've never felt compelled to write a tripadvisor review until now. The experience we just had at the Alpaga was disappointing, to put it mildly. I'll start with the good: it is in a beautiful setting,... More

My husband and I were lucky enough to go away for a long weekend skiing. We chose the hotel for it's design and the fact that they could accommodate us for 3 nights, which proved tricky with most other hotels in Megeve. We were warmly welcomed by Oliver and told that our room was ready, which was great as we... More

Enjoyed the layout of this ski hotel. It is a combination of chalets, apartments and hotel rooms. Restaurant, spa, bar/lounge all in different buildings. Beautiful views of the mountain and set just outside of Megeve - 5 minute drive max. The room was really very nice although the sound proofing is not great. We where above the restaurant and could... I have stayed in this property and I had an amazing stay. Apart from the decoration I must stay that the service is outstanding. The staff of the hotel is really involved on making your stay memorable. Even the General Manager is taking care of the stay of his clients. My stay was a real experience full of emotions. I... More

We were looking for a chalet feel with a coozy atmosphere for a very special moment. The website looked appealing. But it ended being our worst experience ever in a hotel and it is a disgrace for a 5 stars. Starting with the room service, handled by eastern european ladies who obviously have never been trained to meet the standards... More

What a bizarre idea to leave a comment with an anonymous profile ; to write a comment in English when French is your mother tongue… How bizarre it is for us to read your 2 contributions on Tripadvisor…only bad reviews, with same arguments for 2 hotels where you stayed. Tripadvisor is not a place to fight especially when it’s not... More

This is the most beautiful modern design hotel I have seen on the Alps. Good all-round but you pay. Best suited for honeymooners or those who want a quiet place to stay. Although located away from the center of town complimentary transport to and from the center is provided till 8:00PM, which makes up. I would return.

I chose to stay at Alpaga with my girlfriend owing to the rave review it received in Mr and Mrs Smith - how wrong i was. this is the last time i use them...ever On arrival , you could be fooled for believing you have found a gem. that is until you step in. there is nothing decidedly wrong with... Had three wonderful nights there. Staff is very kind and helpful. Decoration is warm, trendy but still very alpine chalet. Great location, very quiet. Proper free car park in the basement. I read some people are complaining about breakfast and the lack of meat? Well, if you expect an English breakfast, maybe but you have scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, cheese... More
