Make sure that you get a room facing the street which overlooks the Vieux Port. You have a window on what makes Marseille unique, well worth the additional cost over an interior facing room. The staff is quite helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is well worth the 8 Euros, fully stocked and delicious. The rooms and the property itself could... More

In all our travels through France, this was the FIRST hotel we've stayed in that had air-conditioning. Marseille is an incredible city for aimless wandering but can be unbearably hot in the summer (especially if, like us, you plan to spend the majority of your stay on the water or at the beach), making this a fantastic perk to staying... Positives: Excellent location, clean bathroom, friendly staff and free Wi-Fi Negatives: Room was small with no view and looked directly on to other rooms; the room looked very tired and in need of refurbishment; no tea / coffee making facilities; no english speaking TV Channels i.e.) BBC, CNN; air Conditioning was very poor and the room was constantly warm /... Hotel Alize is a bead and break-fast hotel.I stayed here for 5 days during my recent cultural exchange visit. The hotel has excellent view of Old Port and has minimum 50 world food restaurants including the best Indian restaurant Jaipur just 50 meters away.Bus stops, markets, tourist attractions, ferry boats point and everything else is just around the corner. The staff is very helpful and... Fantastic location, right at the harbour and with closed windows, you don't hear a thing. Staff is friendly and has some touristic suggestions. We had to wait a bit for breakfast. it was late, but other than that it was a great stay. More

The location is just prefect although Marsrille is very small. Room price is a ripped off and it is all about the location. Room is not clean and toilet is tiny, I didn't sleep well on that night which I felt very itchy when staying on the bed, not recommend. More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and was quite happy with the room. Marvellous view from the window of the harbour. Bed was ok and the bathroom was really quite spectacular! Little noisy at night...I suggest you buy some ear plugs. Probably the best investment i made whilst travelling. Ensures a good nights sleep no matter what! Restaurants all... More

This hotel is in the perfect location for visiting Marseille on holiday. Its upstairs with a lift only from 2nd level upwards. Rooms facing the courtyard are poky and claustrophobic; those facing the harbour have a wonderful view. Traffic noise is an issue because air-conditioning is not functional before summer, so opening the window is necessary on warmer days. Friendly... More

I don't understand why this hotel has such great reviews, it was fairly expensive compared to many 2 star hotels Ive stayed in during my holidays. Its location was of course superb, when I arrived and for the days I was staying there it was getting a make over, so painters everywhere. It would be normal procedure to offer guests... More
