If you are looking for cheap and cheerful in the thick of all the action this place is ideal. The rooms are small, but perfectly adequate for a few nights stop over. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is the only downside. Very basic, all that was on offer was a coffee/tea and a croissant!

The Regence Hotel on Rue Masséna is just off Place Masséna - the centre and hub of Nice. It could hardly be in a better location. Pretty much all aspects of the hotel were very good. We booked into a nearby hotel but weren't satisfied so walked off the street to the Regence. I am so pleased we did! The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us good directions and touring ideas. Right on the Rue Massena a few minutes walk to the Place and The Old Town. We had an inner room which was totally quiet. The place was clean and the staff were efficient and helpful. Ive stayed at the Hotel Regence several times, its reasonably priced and right in the centre of town, I was given a room at the front of the hotel on my last visit but I prefer the rooms at the rear they are more modern. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and I will definitely return to this hotel.
