To me, it's all the little things that make the difference. Need a restaurant recommendation? No problem, Marie & Francois provide you with a list of their favorites, directions, specialties, phone numbers. You want to take a cooking class while you're in Aix? Marie says that "Tess is amazing". Want to take home a little something special to remember your... More

We had planned to spend two nights, but ended up staying four nights, mainly because we felt so welcomed and appreciated. Marie and Francois are delightful hosts who obviously enjoy their roles as gracious hosts to all. We look forward to returning when our schedules permit, and, without limitation, this is by far the best B & b experience we've... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in early April. We were visiting our son who is studying in Aix this semester. As has been stated here many times Marie and Francois are the perfect hosts. Breakfasts were wonderful, happy hour was terrific and they couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating with suggestions of places to visit and even saving... More

Marie and Francois are exceptional hosts and they should be most proud of their B & B. the grounds are serene and rooms are lovely. We enjoyed the nightly happy hours with interesting conversations. Breakfast was satisfying to last well into afternoon. The location is convenient to the heart of Aix. We will return!

We stayed here with another couple for a full week last fall and were delighted to have found this fabulous spot. Not only is it a beautiful and comfortable place to stay but the hosts, Marie and Francoise are a most welcoming and helpful couple. We left them feeling like we had made new friends! Their breakfasts and happy hours... More

We stayed here for two nights in October 2012. Marie & Francois are great hosts. We particularly enjoyed the Happy Hour and meeting the other guests for a chat. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. During our stay we walked into the centre of Aix which was only 15 minutes away. Marie recommended restaurants one... More

As an architect, I can't help but to admire this property and what the hosts, Marie and Francois have done to create this wonderful oasis. I could rave about the site, the century's old building, the fountains, pool, sculpture, and the stately Plane trees, but to keep this with in reason all I'll say is .... go see for yourself.... My huband and I stayed at la Torse for 5 nights at the beginning of October. Although we arrived late we were welcomed by Francois and Marie with a glass of wine and appetizers. Marie is a fabulous cook and shared her recipe for "French Toast". All their recommendations for touring the country side and places to eat were excellent.... More
