We spent 2 nights in May in this lovely old, and rather charmingly old fashioned, hotel. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful and spoke good English (and in one case Japanese too!) The room was fine - basic and clean with a view over the courtyard which shields the hotel from any noise from the street. Location is perfect,... More

Only real negative - shower has no stand so it is a bit of a challenge to shower, plus the shower space is so small with such low edges that there is a real risk of flooding the walls/floor. Otherwise, a really lovely quaint hotel with friendly staff (although I did hear two of them talking about me - nothing... More

The Manoir Hotel is consistently reliable with its superb location right in the old town, with free parking. It deserves better than its two star rating. The bedrooms have been refurbished and redecorated, and it's worth paying a little more for a large room with King size bed. Breakfasts are generous and served outside in the cloisters in summer. This... More

My husband and I and another couple stayed here for 4 nights in February during the unusually cold weather. From check-in to check-out, we received excellent advice and service. In fact, my husband broke his eyeglasses on the flight over and had resigned himself to wearing his sunglasses for the duration of our trip. We asked the front desk attendant... More

Gorgeous building and great location. Within walking distance to all main areas in Aix. Room was clean and peaceful. Bed was a bit small and dipped a bit in the middle. The bathroom did not have a window so our room was always humid. Shower curtain was full of mould on the bottom! Staff was friendly and helpful. Would we... More

We recently stayed at this hotel. We kept telling ourselves--location and free parking. We could deal with the mosquito problem--we kept killing them and adding more blood spots to the walls. One would like the cleaning staff would at least clean the blood off the walls. We would never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone; however,... More

First the good point - it has a great location in the network of little streets off the Cours Mirabeau. Buts - there are several - an entrance hall that takes gloomy to new depths; service that really didn't seem to care; minimal information about the town and surroundings (which are spectacular); some tiny rooms; no aircon (so go prepared... Great location, tons of restaurants around. You're right in the middle of the old city. Staff is helpful although their help is rendered with that Gallic aloofness the French are known for. Staff speak good English. I felt the breakfast option was worth the additonal expense. Rooms and hallways are a litle rundown but for the price, this hotel is... More

We have recently returned from a one night stay in this hotel, which was recommended by friends, but we were disappointed. The room was very small and the bathroom one of the worse we have come across. The shower was tiny, the shower curtain even smaller and covered in black mould, as were the walls and ceiling. There was no... More

My husband and i just got back from this hotel last week. The location is perfect, it's within walking distance to cafes and shops. The room was okay but the bathroom is small. At night, it was hot so we decided to open our window a bit when we slept but to our surprise there were so many mosquitos. What... More
