If you're looking for a wonderful romantic hotel in the heart of Provence that will allow you to explore the whole region, this is it. What at first seemed like a possible drawback to this otherwise fabulous property turned out to be one of it's many assets. It's not in the heart of the town of Aix-en-Provence. It's three kilometers... More

Spent one night here as a stop over from Barcelona to Monaco in February 2010. Had one of the outside rooms, was o.k but nothing special. Beautiful Chateau though and the staff were fantastic. Booked a dinner, but got lost getting back from town and got back 1 1/2 hrs late. Staff were great and set us a candle lit... More

My review is only about the restaurant at the Chateau. We stopped by there one night after hopping off a train from Paris, at the nearby "TGV" rail station just outside Aix. It was August 2011 and we had dinner at their high end restaurant outside, on the terrace under typical Provencal trees. The food was delicious, with unique, original... More

When your GPS drives you there you'll believe you are lost. The road is crowded by commercial / industrial building and you'll miss the entrance. A closer look will show you a small route between two buildings and you'll discover a hidden jewel, a charming 18th century castle in a parc. Rooms and service are what you can expect from... More

I staye here a couple of years ago with my mom. Although it we very strange to be driving in the industrial area...the moment you pull into the gate you are transformed. We stayed in a garden room and had a wonderful time. The food was outstanding and the best macaroons I think I have ever eaten even to this... More

I have no idea why anyone would stay at this hotel. It is faded in the extreme, it is not charming, it is simply falling apart. It is set in the middle of an industrial estate and the rooms are disgusting. The pool is dirty and cold. The only reason to stay here is lack of choice. The staff, particularly... More

I agree with some other reviewers that this is a lovely chateau in a beautiful setting but it hasn't got much else going for it....actually the beds were nice! Its quite a distance from the centre of Aix and you would need a car to get from the chateau to the centre or train stations. We were disadvantaged as we... More
