The Aquabella is well located--a short walk from the center of Aix. Our room was modern and spacious and the staff was very accommodating when we requested a room change due to a wedding reception occurring on the deck below our original room. We were given an upgraded room at no additional charge. The entrance to the parking structure is... More

My wife and I spent three nights in the Aquabella prior to catching a Uniworld river cruise in Arles. Our first time in Aix-en-Provence and we were totally spellbound by the beauty and personality of this city. The stay at the Aquabella was both comfortable and pleasant. The room was both quite clean and comfortable, and even with the balcony... More

Brought a group to Aix and stayed in this hotel for several nights. Parking did not involve us as we were dropped off. The complaints about parking charges must come from travellers not used to North American hotels which charge up to $20 per day. Rooms were very adequate, not problems there. The breakfast (yes at e16) was the best... More

We stayed for two nights and have a great time - the hotel is nice and close to everything. Great for sight-seeing and the markets. We brought back strawberries and ate them in the garden area - a great start to our vacation. The pool area is beautiful, parking was reasonable, and the bed was really comfortable. What more can... The hotel is hard to find if driving your own car. One way streets make it extra difficult. We found the best approach was from Ave Jean Jaures. Hotel parking is convenient at 10 euros a day. The rooms are clean and comfortable not super stylish. Nice lobby and pool area. Great location for sightseeing (best done on foot) and... More

We booked a double room and were pleasantly surprised when we checked in and got a room with a balcony and a view of the city. Room was clean and comfortable, washroom fresh and modern, bathrobes and slippers are a great perk. But the real treat was the access to the spa! The heated pool and hot tub were a... More

I had the upsetting experience of arriving without my luggage, the staff was great helping me call and fax the airlines to try to get it delivered. These were not my best moments but fortunately my room was nice, quiet and I really enjoyed my stay for 3 nights. I had hoped for A/C but it was not turned on,... More

The hotel rooms are small but comfortable. The bathrooms, however, have some really shabby corners - water from the shower in our room ran along a shelf and was rotting the wooden mirror surround, the tile grout was scruffy in the corners, old screw holes hadn't been tidily filled etc. Two things, though, were disgraceful. The shower head was so... More

We decided to upgrade to a delux room to get a bit of extra space. What we got was standard room with a balcony at the back of hotel on a lower floor. The bed was quiet uncomfortable but other the that the room adequate. We dined in the hotel restaurant one evening and the staff where excellent however the... More

Pretty basic hotel - brusque foyer staff, basic rooms - weird separate room for WC - no kettle or tea and coffee in room, no dryers or iron! Parking in public car park hideously expensive which you pay for by redeeming a voucher from the Hotel (works out at 10 Euro a day!). However, the pool, gym and sauna/steam room... More
