I went to this hotel with my colleagues because there was no other hotel available at that time. I must say that I have been disapointed mainly because of the lack of cleanliless and also because my room smelt cigaret! For the rest, the hotel is well located and is quite cheap. The staff is OK. Rooms are small but... More

This is the hotal I stay at every time I visit Aix. It is very good value for money and the location is perfect, in the south part of the city which is very quite, but only five minute walking from the city centre. The rooms are very small but again you cannot expect something else in Aix and this... More

Small room and bath. Clean. Fairly comfortable bed. Location was good in a town where you'll walk a lot anyway. Reception was more business like than friendly.

The rooms are not big, but the bathrooms have been completely refurbished to a high standard, and they rooms are very clean. It takes a two minutes walk to the very center of Aix. Very good value for money.

I stayed in this hotel at the end of April and left with mixed feelings about the experience. The hotel has good and bad points. To start with the good points: I found the men who worked in reception polite, helpful and friendly. The reception was manned 24 hours a day, which made me feel safe at night. The location... More

Having been lured by the seductive review in the Lonely Planet guide, evoking monasterial charm and simple gallic repose, it became glaringly apparent upon arrival that this was simply not the case. A frosty, bordering on rude, receptionist began to argue with us that the room we had booked the night before (in french) was actually not what we thought... More

Booked in for a week. Room was questionable but location good so unpacked. Air Conditioning then leaked all over the floor. We complained to be told they had known of the problem for several days but thought the manager had fixed it. They had no other room and could not fix the problem for at least two days. We had... A gorgeous old residence well maintained, with a spectacular modern bathroom as part of a beautiful, big and high-ceiling 19th century room. Lovely period textiles and clever one-way glass on our ground-floor room so people walking by couldn't see in. Great location. Breakfast in a lovely lounge but not really worth it since it's the standard croissant, baguette, coffee, jam... More

Helpful reception; basic single but fresh furnishings; the bed needs a new mattress but it wasn't a deal breaker. The room had a clean bathroom that is compact but all you need. Breakfast was good. It's in a great location - only a 20 min walk from the bus, 5 min from Cour Mirabeau and ten minutes easy walk to... More

Hotel des quatre dauphins was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the town of Aix. I didn't have a car and took the TGV from Paris so I needed a place within walking distance to everything. That said, the location is great but rather noisy even with the windows closed. In the middle of the night, lots of... More
