Simple things Not to do: - push customers so hard to book dinner in yr in house restaurant ( Don't send someone with menu if customers say they have made a booking in town) - let rooms fittings go on unrepaired fr guests to discover and have to ask twice about (coffee machine sld work & shower sld also function... Very good Relais & Chateaux property. Charming, very interesting decoration, more on the heavy side, but fits the Provence style. Breakfast and lunch were excellent, fresh ingredients and good options in general. I was given an outside room, facing a private patio - quite interesting, with two levels and a wonderful, big bathroom. I'd definitely consider it on a next... More

Spectacular rooms, a welcoming staff that made us feel like we were coming home each evening and a sense of tranquility made our three day stay at Villa Gallici perfect. The evening meals we had were the high point of our time in the south of France. This hotel sums up all the excellent traits of not only the Relais... More

We spent a few days over Easter at the Villa Gallici and found it absolutely lovely. The house is charming and the staff make a huge effort, unlike in some other comparably priced establishments in the South of France. Although it is a ten minute walk into the centre of town, there is advantage in being a little bit put... More

Villa Gallici is a deservedly famous inn just outside the walls of Aix en Provence. My wife an I enjoyed our stay but found the location a bit problematic. The food and wine were good, but about what one would expect for such expensive fare. The first room we were placed in had the bathroom up a flight of stairs,... More

This was a special birthday trip and the Villa Gallici was recommended as a memorable place to stay in the romantic city of Aix. It did not disappoint. The rooms were spectacular and so private that sometimes we thought we were staying in someone's home...nary a sign of another guest. Ask for the suite that overlooks the pool. It is... More

This is a very pretty and small hotel. The staff were all young but very professional, the maneger is very friendly. The welcome was warm, we receive flowers, chocolats and biscuits. We receive a room up grade, we stay in number 6 suite. We spent two nights, and we eat in the restaurant, your rate included breakfast and dinner. The... More

it all depends what you are looking for.... Villa Gallici is a stunning hotel... but there are a few things to know... It is very private and therefore very quiet...(not necessarily a bad thing!) It is very expensive (as expected) and there are a few quirks.... For example the upgraded room that we stayed in had a bath but no... More

This is a very pretty and well run hotel. The staff were all young but very professional. The welcome was warm and we were greeted with drinks and small cakes. We spent three nights here and ate in the restaurant one night. The food was very good but not cheap and it is an expensive place to take a family. The... More

We arrived after spending 6 days at Hotel du Cap - in a great mood, having loads of fun and laughs - and this hotel did nothing to perpetuate our mood. It was somber, and serious. None of the guests interacted. The staff was dressed in outfits befitting a monastery. Now for the good part: it is beautiful. The iron... More
