Our experience at Citadines Aparthotel was really bad. The appartment was really not very clean, in addition you could see that the room was not renewed for a long time, plus it stinked at tobacco. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but we decided to leave after 2 nights even if we had no possibility of refund. Extremely... More

I stayed here for 4 nights whilst attending an academic conference. I have absolutely no complaints about the accommodation, but it is a little odd. Nice things: - cheap yet satisfying breakfast - large room - helpful English-speaking staff. Odd things: - sofa-bed for bed - toilet being closer to the fridge than the washbasin - I appeared to be... More

Definitely only for those with a car. There are supermarkets and touristy areas near by but still need to drive. It's a good place to stay for the value if you want to visit the surrounding Provence region. The room is clean and big with a dining table, kitchenette and even a patio if you want to use it. Though... More

We organised to check in late, however soon arriving found that the hotel has a password entry, which we didn't know. A guest let us in, only to find that the reception was unstaffed. After a drama, and many phone calls to numbers that were never answered we finally got instructions on how to get our key from a safety... More

My toddler, husband and I stayed at the Citadines during my husband's recent business trip. The hotel looks and feels like a glorified college dorm - linoleum floors, painted concrete walls and very basic bathroom. The three of us slept together on a fold-out sofa, not exactly the most comfortable bed. On the upside, the room had a balcony with... More

I found the room comfortable and clean. The problem, however, is that the site is well beyond walking distance from the city centre and while there are bus routes, they finish at ten pm on weekdays, and on Sundays finish at six pm and are quite infrequent. If you are picking this for a leisure stay, be warned that you... More

We booked a double room and got a room with a sofa-bed. It seemed as if somebody lived in our room for a year, smoking non-stop. The smell was so terrible that we had to sleep with the window open, only problem is that the hotel is a few meters away from the highway and the noise of trucks passing... More

I reserved a room at a discount price by internet. The spaciousness, cleanness, facilities, service are perfect with a swimming pool and a coffee machine. The only disadvantage must be the distance from the city center. However, a bus stop is just one-minute-walk from the hotel. The circulation of bus is easy use enough even for a traveler.

Too many problems here! Check-in time, bed configuration, smelly, and way too far out of town (Aix)! And to top it off - it rained! (though I don't blame them for that!)

My usual travel mantra is "central, clean, and safe," but this Citadines apart'hotel tested my tolerance for basic. The room was very much like a dorm or hospital room: linoleum for easy cleaning, no effort to make it comfortable or charming, though the little balcony was nice; a flimsy but not too uncomfortable foldout bed. The kitchen area has about... More
