My husband and I spent five nights here. The rooms are very well appointed and everything is in perfect condition. The bathrooms are quite spacious and everything is immaculate. After visiting the charming historic ville, it is a pleasure to return to this warm, comfy, modern hotel. The staff is friendly and polite. Our room looked out over the interior...

We recently stayed in the Grand Hotel Roi Rene, in part based upon reviews by other travelers. We had two of the rooms with the outdoor sitting areas, which I recommend. The outdoor areas of these rooms connect to the outdoor areas of the other rooms on that floor, but there are privacy screen between them. We found that this...

Spent one night in this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful decor and fabulous restaurant. The rooms are small, newly renovated, but unremarkable. Definitely worth eating in this venue.
With easy access from the autoroute and only a 5 minute walk Cours Mirabeau the hotel is well located. Reception staff were efficient and welcoming; bedroom clean and well equipped. A quality hotel. The hotel restaurant offered a good choice menu (3 courses for 41 euros), the food was well cooked, served by charming, knowledgeable staff. Breakfast choice was extensive...

a superbly run hotel. Furnishes everything it promises and more. Very friendly staff, with a tinge of cordial humour, which, for France!, is rather rare. Rooms – smallish, essential very clean and well kept – all one really needs in a good hotel. In-house parking is adequate and quite inexpensive; and the bellboys taking the stuff up from and down...

How can it be better? 10mn from "Le Cours Mirabeau", a perfect example of French "Plaisir de vivre". 40mn from Marseille and its wonderful "Bouillabaisse" chez Loury on "Le Vieux Port".
Aix is the Start to the sublime "Route Paul Cezanne" on your way to beautiful Cassis and "Les Calanques".
So close to Avignon, Arles, Nimes and Camargue.
Just the...

I stayed at this hotel last week on a road trip around the South of France. It was really great & the staff was very helpful. We had a nice room which was quiet. The location is ideal as it is walking distance from all the restaurants/shops/bars. They also had parking at the hotel which was very convenient. I would...

This elegant hotel occupies what appears to be a 19th century building, fully renovated in a contemporary style. With about 130 rooms, part of Accor without being branded, it clings towards the feel of a boutique hotel.
It is built around an inner courtyard, with the lobby and the dining room opening onto an inviting terrace, beyond which sits the...

Our room was room 127 with a terrace which we paid extra for, but below us was the restaruant and kitchen we got very little sleep both nights due to the dragging of chairs across the tiles and the banging in the kitchen.
