We stayed 3 nights in Aix in this hotel (suite #3) and it was a lovely experience. The mansion is very charming and the service very personal, thank you, Sophie & Michel, who always will give you advice about the restaurants and things to explore. The suite was great, decorated with style and taste. The breakfast was typical French (do... More

The Hotel 28 a Aix is in fact a converted mansion with only four guest rooms...mostly suites. We loved our experience and found that our hosts (Sophie and Michel) could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. The room itself was huge, comfortable and decorated in a lavish, over-the-top (but fun) way. I would compare the experience favorably to the... More

What a wonderful place to stay! We spent the last 4 nights of 2011 at L'Hotel Particulier 28 a Aix. The location right off the Cours Mirabeau was ideal. We stayed in Suite 1 and it was luxurious and comfortable. Sophie and Michel could not have been nicer or more accomodating. The breakfast each day was lovely and Sophie and... More

This luxury B&B was exactly what we anticipated: a beautifully restored townhouse in the heart of Mazarin District in Aix. the location couldn't have been better. The suit we stayed at was spacious and well appointed. I loved the modern bathroom, even the toilet being separate worked well for us. The decor was a bit over the top for my... More

My husband Justin and I recently traveled to Aix en Provence, France for our Honeymoon. We literally spent the week eating, drinking, exploring and making new friends. We stayed at 28 a aix, the most amazing hotel! The rooms are gorgeous and the service was excellent. When we first started planning our trip, it was very last minute but we... More

What was great about the hotel was its central and quiet location, excellent service, very sounds and reliable staff advice about restaurants, and the size, decor and cleanliness of the rooms. The breakfast was adequate, and was in a lovely garden area. We were 3 people and took rooms 3 and 4 - Room 4 was large and Room 3... More

The Hotel 28 is a really unique experience. We arrived and rang the bell to be greeted by Michel the manager waving at us from the top floor, once inside he showed us around the charming house, then took up to room 1, and left us with a tray of cool drinks. The room is fantastic, romantic but fun. Huge... More

This is a delightfully funky, but very nicely decorated and charming hotel in a great location. Michel, the manager, is personable, helpful and definitely adds to the overall experience. Breakfast on the terrace in good weather is quite good. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the town. Parking is a little bit of a challenge so we... More

I agree entirely with what flashpackers808 said. Every single word. The hotel is in a very nice old building in a great location in central aix. The common areas are pretty and tastefully decorated (Sophie clearly has great taste, in a very French way). The staff (1 on at a time) are friendly and helpful. My impression was that the... More

I made a reservation based on previous Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. This boutique B&B offers unmatchable service and care, and is located in a prime spot near the Vieille Ville. Michel went above and beyond in terms of helping us plan out our itinerary, where to dine and also made my father's birthday one to remember. Because... More
