Booked a double room, arrivied, paid, went to room - then left the hotel and found an alternative! The whole place stank of smoke. Bedroom was on the top floor (loft). Carpets were dirty. Bed linen sheet had a hole. Wobbly hand basin in bathroom. Place looked and felt very tired and grubby.

The hotel is perfectly located right in the centre of the old town and the staff (or owners) is very nice and helpful. BUT the hotel is old and was never or poorly renovated. Some of the rooms are tacky. One, which is smelly and does not have toilets gives out onto a wall. I t is cheap in every...

The owner seemed a little confused himself as to whether or not he wanted to be helpful.
The rooms are lovely, with antique furniture (though the bidet leaked, which no doubt symbolizes something). The location is wonderful, right across a tiny street from the most shockingly beautiful town hall I've ever seen. In general, the hotel is right where it...

A warm, friendly, clean and really wonderful hotel. Rooms are spacious, the breakfasts are well prepared and fresh, andl the two young people who run the hotel really do try their best to make everyone welcome. I stay in this hotel every time I go to Poitiers -- I'd recommend it to everyone!
