This hotel is fabulous. The building, the decor, the welcome, the service, the location. Wonderful rooms, mine overlooked the garden. Also a parking garage next to the hotel. Not a cheap hotel but worth every bit of cost. Do stay here when in La Rochelle.

We stayed in room 18, old building, overlooking garden at back - a large comfortable room together with a side-room which could have accommodated another person. So much character, really friendly staff, good location, quiet, super comfortable. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. There is a lovely garden out the back where you can recline on lounges or take breakfast if the weather is good. I highly recommend it.

Close to attractions but not too close at the same time and that makes it great. Nice quiet garden. Our room was in the old hotel. We recommend for suer.

We arrived at thr train station, it took us 25mins to walk to the hotel. Reception and grand, we were an hour and a half early but only waited 5mins before being our key.
