The Ibis Hotel Centre is an excellent location to explore all of La Rochelle. Situated within a couple of minutes walking distance of the Old Port and it's delicious seafood restaurants, and the town centre's many varied shops.
We chose this Accor hotel because, despite warnings about parking, it was close to the City Centre and we have an Accor Loyalty Card. I found the Ibis to be very central to restaurants, shopping and the ferry services. The rooms provided everything required for a nights sleep. They were clean and tidy. They didnt have any tea or coffee making facilities but access to cafes were very close to the hotel. Friendly staff. No hassles with booking. Smooth checkout process.
Small but pleasantly appointed rooms and very close to the shops, bars and restuarants and a pleasant stroll to the beach. We even managed to park right outside the hotel for free as it was the low season. Deauville is a delightful and elegant little resort.
Very satisfactory in all respects except noisy late-night revellers but clearer information on the booking site re parking would be useful - I was told that parking vouchers were available at the desk but with on street parking restrictions near the hotel making brief check in parking imposssible - vouchers available on-line would be appreciated.
We stayed for a week at this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable, in keeping with most Ibis hotels.
Our room was a little small and we would have liked more storage space, but we managed ok. No coffee-making facilities (but this is FRANCE - they don't do that there).
