We arrived in Angouleme by TGV direct from CDG after flying in from Australia and took a room in this hotel which is directly across the road from the station.
It was a good choice after a long international flight.

Well, just got back from a 3 night stay in Angouleme. We stayed here and after reading some of the reviews on here, some of my friends were aprehensive.
(I wasn't worried, and they shouldn't have been! Some reviews on here can be a bit dramatic and/or expect too much vs. price per night!)
We wanted a cheap clean room...
