On our way to the hotel, our train broke down. We did not arrive at the hotel until 2am. When we arrived the owner was there to greet us. The room was beaufiful, and the bathrooms was enormous! The front desk staff are extrememly helpful, and very nice! The morning breakfast is very good. I can't recomend this hotel enough,... More

We loved this hotel. We were in the building with the vines growing on it and enjoyed our room, but don"t know what the rooms in the main part of the hotel are like. We didn't pay for the hotel breakfast because there are amazing places to buy fresh bread and pastries just steps from the hotel. The hotel was... More

Had a great two night stay here over Memorial Day Weekend. The room was beautiful, great architecture and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was also fully renovated, was very nice to have a modern bathroom within a classic and baroque styled hotel room! The staff are all extremely helpful and kind. Only complaint is that it got very cold at... More

Stayed here with friends as a base for touring the area and the WW2 sites. The hotel is very comfortable, with excellent staff. There is plenty of free parking, the breakfast is excellent, and the location is ideal for strolling into Bayeux. It is not cheap though, and there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. .

Traveling with another couple, we had to change hotels in the Bayeux area at the last minute when one of us had a significant allergic reaction at another hotel. We found the Hotel d'Argouges in Bayeux and everything worked out great. Despite being right downtown, the hotel is set back in its own little courtyard so you don't feel the... More

Very nice hotel, lovely surroundings, pretty public rooms. We had a fine breakfast there every morning. The staff is very helpful, everyone speaks English. The hotel is in the middle of Bayeux, in walking distance to almost every thing. They have a policy that you can't bring your own food or beverages to sit in the yard. That's too bad,... More

We spent a night at Hotel d'Argouges as part of our visit to the D-Day sites in Normandy. It is like going back in time. The service was excellent and very friendly to Americans with fluent English and loads of help and suggestions. Rooms were spacious and the bathroom was clean and neat. WiFi is included but offers only one... More

The Hotel d'Argouges is well located off a lovely plaza that was hosting the weekly market when we arrived. The main building is charming, with a lovely garden. Breakfast is served in a high-ceilinged dining room with windows overlooking the garden. Our room was in an annex building which does not have the same charm. The room was pleasant, although... More

After driving around the D-day beaches, we were lucky to find a vacancy at this inn. And it turned out so well. A former Duke's townhouse, parking was secure and the room was comfortable and clean. We were in the other building and it was so pretty, I took a photo. The breakfast next morning was good. Nearby restaurant had... More

The main road frontage of this hotel is deceptive - just a narrow entrance & driveway - then it opens out to be a beautiful old house. We had a very comfortable and quiet room, yet the hotel is in the main street of Bayeux. Easy & safe parking for the Barchetta. The staff were friendly & always very helpful.... More
