We very much enjoyed our stay here in Bayeux, which is a wonderfully central point from which to explore Normandy & even a little into Brittany. Our room was 3rd floor (they say 2nd - do not be fooled) & if we learned nothing on this vacation we learned to keep luggage to a weight that we can easily &... More

Small, but adequate room. However, it is suggested that while all staff are friendly, one should rely on the more senior staff for advice. More

Easy to find but beware the tight turn into the drive! The stonework is unforgiving! Plenty of parking at 5€ a day. Annoying that our room was not ready at 1.30pm but bags taken and stored. Our room no 10 was compact and had lots of timber beams. Bathroom modern but no bath just a walk in shower. Beds comfortable.... More

Madzame, monsieur I'm sorry to insist that check in is 3h00pm, and it's write on all reservations. We have a buffet breakfast with varied and quality products: delicatessen, cheese, different breads, crossants, yogourt, eggs, fruts, cereals, juice, coffee tea chocolate.... and In a decent price only 12 euros/person served in a lounge of period 18e. I hope your stay in... More

This is a charming former private home. The hotel compound actually has three buildings, but we stayed in the original residence. Our room was on the top floor, which required walking up three flights of stairs with luggage in hand. It had a lovely view of the back yard garden and huge exposed beams as well as two dormer windows.... More

I stayed at this hotel a month or two ago with a family member and two friends. We had two different rooms and the size was certainluy tied to the cost of the rooms. I found it to be a good value for the money and the location was in the center of things. I would certainly stay there again.... More

We had a surprise party for my sister and we had 18 peoples staying for the weekend, one of the best experiences we had staying in a hotel in a long time. The service was very personal, the food was great, the rooms were very nice and the bathrooms are new. The hotel itself is an old Chateau and is... More

We recently stayed at the Hotel d'Argouges for 6 nights.(not pre-booked). Our intent was to visit the Normandy sights for a couple of days, then travel into Belgium. Unfortunately my husband became very ill & was hospitalized for most of this time. I can not praise the owners & staff of this charming hotel enough! They were so kind &... More

I found this hotel to be a very charming place! The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large with modern fixtures, having a large walk-in shower with a standard shower head and a rain shower head! The walls were apparently well insulated as noise from adjacent room was non-existent. The entire staff (from the 2... More

We recently stayed at Hotel d'Argouges while touring the Normandy Beaches, as well as the historical treasures of Bayeux itself. The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of the busiest area of downtown where some great restaurants are located. In fact, you can take a bus directly from the train station to the hotel for less than 1 euro.... More

After flying into Paris on 3/30 and renting a car, I drove my wife, son, daughter in law and 26 month old grand daughter to Bayeux, not really knowing what to expect with the hotel, though the reviews were glowing. They were not wrong - the main building is a charming old mansion that survived the war with the foyer... More
