Stayed 3nights at The St Martial and found it an excellent base for exploring the city,only a few mins from the railway station and about 10 mins walk into the centre.No frills hotel but clean and comfortable rooms with nice en suite shower. Good continental breakfast and friendly english speaking staff.

location is good a short walk from station.rooms are refurbished & are comfortable bathrooms on the small side.staff are friendly & helpful & feels more like a guesthouse.easy access for old town.breakfast is a good buffet.a good value option.

A very friendly hotel that seems to have been recently refurbished. The bathroom was wonderful, clean and modern and the bedroom more than adequate. The breakfast was a real surprise with grapefruit, yoghurts and juice as well as the usual croissants and coffee served in a pleasant and airy breakfast room.

Found this place by chance travelling back from Spain and glad we did, the owners were really helpful to the extent of offering coffee after our long journey and generally making you feel welcome. (They even gave us the cheaper weekend rate after we had already said yes to the room although it was Thursday).
