The Novotel Montpellier (Palavas) is not a hotel for highly discriminating travelers: it is dated and worn, short on frills, and a fair taxi ride from anything. But compared to other hotels in the area, you don't overpay for what you don't use. It's a Holiday Inn, but with a better bar.

We stayed a couple of nights at this Novotel. The hotel is a bit far from the centre and you need to drive (expensive parking) or take the tramway. The rooms are standard and a bit dated. The breakfast was below average for a Novotel. On the plus side the staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel lacks charachter and is in a somewhat desolate location - a big Supermarket a 10 minute walk away being one of the few facilities. Stayed for one night. Staff are great, the hotel is not far from they very busy A9 montorway... The hotel is a typical Novotel, does everything you need it to do.. Hotel has been used a lot, but everything works well. Good for a stop over. Parking space is a little complicated.
