We stayed in Peet’s place for one night, but it was a very nice short stay. The room is not so big, but it is clean, neat and we just love the way things are arranged here. The building is just beautiful and we love it so much. Breakfast is nicely served and the dining place is so comfortable and... More

This was a wonderful place to stay. The location was very convenient and Peet is a great host. It was nice that he would sit and chat with us during breakfast, offering tips and other useful information, as well just just sharing stories. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with fresh croissants every morning. The french toast he made one morning... More

I sent a review just after we left Paris but it must have been lost in cyberspace. We had a great experience here. Convenient, good restaurants, one feels like one lives in the house, unlike a hotel. Clean and quiet. Unlocked bedroom doors didn't bother us a bit. You're a guest in their home and guests don't lock their doors.... More

We arrived after 24 hours flying from New Zealand with only 3 hours on ground at Hong Kong - no sleep and very tired. It was so easy to catch the RER B from Charles de Gaulle to Gare Du Nord. Then it was only one block to the BnB. Would recommend 'doing the walk ' on google street view... More

I was in Paris in October 2012 and my cousin and I decided to stay at A Room in Paris. We found Peet to be a bit unfriendly and abrupt throughout our short visit. It seems we arrived "too early" and he essentially blamed us for our room not being ready. When we finally got into our room, we noticed... More

Dear reader, It is as always very disappointing to read comments like these. Most certainly when they are not justified; If this lady would have taken the time to read our website or the other critics here on this site, she would have known up front what she could expect. We're not a hotel in France a chambre d'hôte is... More

Great location, about 5mim walk from Gare du Nord station. Acessible to almost all tourist attractions. Theres a very small lift in the building. Phew!! No need to carry all the way up to lvl 2. Rahim was an excellent host. Loved the breakfast esp the hot quiche. Very near to Gare du NOrd, Carrefour City and Leader Price. As location is central, the noise level never dies down-always the sound of sirens, cars and people can be heard from the room. We booked. studio room for €117.50 for 2 persons including breakfast. Room had microwave,... More

After arriving with the Thalys at Gare du Nord, we were friendly welcomed at A Room In Paris by Peet Verrest, who showed us a lovely, spacious room with bathroom and seperate toilet (this is called room 4). The B&B is just a few minutes walk from the Gard du Nord, from where you travel by metro and bus all... More

Peet (the owner) was absolutely fantastically amazing. He was extremely nice, courteous, spoke fluent French (duh), English, and (I believe) Dutch. Don't have any worries about having to translate or anything, he's great. Breakfast is served every morning, 8-9am during the week, 9-10am on the weekends, and it's a wonderful breakfast. Croissants, boiled eggs, meats, cheese, homemade breads, jams, some... More

We stayed 7 nights in Peet's A room in Paris to explore the city of lights. On all counts a great success. Peet looks after his guests from the moment of booking, all through the visit and even during departure. We were welcomed like friends - we were in the self-contained studio room - coffee, bread, jam etc. on arrival,... More
