With no TV or Best Western pictures to spoil the room, this is one of my favorite places that I can afford to stay (as long as they keep up the massive discount) off season. Only a little grunge in the tile grout faulted an otherwise perfectly clean room.

Not bad for what it is. It is a hostel of sorts, small (warning to large Americans), but, for my wife and me, quite comfortable. The wi-fi signal didn't reach our floor... but only minor inconvenience. The high storey room meant a relatively quiet night. The windows were sufficiently insulating of traffic and street noise. The location is extremely convenient... More

Second trip to Paris and decided to stay in Hotel Louvre Richelieu, mainly for Location. It is definitely very very convenient, within walking distance to majority of the attractions, and being located in district 1, it was a very cheap price to pay. Point to note: Be prepared, room was very very basic, just beds, uneven flooring, not sufficient light,... More

Bonjour, and thanks for your comments. The hotel is currently (Decembre 2011) closed for a serious facelifting! For your next trip, you will find here renovated rooms with all the modern comfort : air-conditionning, flat-screen TV, brand new WiFi system for a high speed-connection from the rooms, well equipped bathroom (rain-effect shower, hair dryer,...). And of course leveled floors, and... More

I stayed here for one night. And l was extremely disappointed. I delayed going back to my room as l didnt want to sit in a room with no windows....only a sky light. To make things worse, the room didnt have a toilet or shower, you had to use the communal showers/toilet. The free wifi barely had any bars, and... More

Bonjour, sorry to hear about your disappointement. But you did book a room with no bathroom en-suite, i.e. only with shared bath facilities. Sometimes some of the vending sites are not very clear about the description of the rooms and can be misleading. Unfortunatly, we cannot help as we have no control on that. The wi-fi is working correctly now,... More

If you are like me and my business partner (i.e., wife), you won't spend but a few hours in the hotel, sleeping and getting ready for the day's adventure. So why pay for three star leisure? We received a warm, hospitable welcome from the staff; were offered tickets to the Louvre to avoid the long lines... but we passed as... More

I've stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The location is very central and convenient, close to Opera and metro stations. I've been welcomed by a very friendly and helpful staff, always doing their best to help you. I just regret the condition of the hotel and particularly my room (#21 I think) which is unacceptable for Paris in 2011. My... More

The hotel is absolutely basic. The room was small but clean and very quiet during the day and the night. The only strange thing was that the floor was not even. I had to sleep with my head at the feet of the bed. Yes, the ground was not level in this hotel, but that is the only minor defect.... More

good location, lots of cafe's nearby. just a 5 minute walk to teh louvre. the shower's were tiny. you couldn't move without hitting a wall. bathroom was in a complete separate room. good room for the money, although don't expect much out of it except a bed and a sink.

Bonjour, and thanks for your opinion. You had choosen a room with shared bath facilities, which, I admit, is not very comfortable. 12 out of the 14 rooms in our hotel have a private bathroom en-suite, and the 2 other ones will soon desappear. I hope you enjoyed your stay in our hotel and brought back home good memories from... More

I accompanied my wife, who had a medical conference for a few days. Lucky me... but not lucky her, because I chose the hotel! The location was good, and the price was OK, but nothing good after that. The room was small and ugly... badly planned, with dirty blankets and bedcovers. Limited, and dirty, hanging space for any decent clothes.... More

The hotel was "spartan" at best. There's no TV and the staff is not very helpful. They did give us a fan since there is no AC. The floor was slanted so everytime I walked around the bed I felt like I was walking downhill. The is also no elevator so we lugged our siutcases up four flights. The staff... More
