Having just visited Paris, my friend and I stayed at this hotel. Here are the advantages and disadvantages: ADVANTAGES - great location, just a few minutes from Gare Du Nord which was great. Towels and linen clean, room cleaned daily. Breakfast really good, friendly staff. Plenty of shops, bars, cafes, brasseries, restaurants and the metro very close. DISADVANTAGES: no air... More

I stayed with my 9 year old daughter in this hotel and we had an absolutely lovely time. The staff were helpful and lovely but not intrusive. It had obviously been recently renovated, the room and bathroom were large (for Paris), clean and nice. The linen was crisp, the TV new and had many international channels, incl. several English and... More

CONDITIONS OF STAY: - 4-night stay in February of 2012 (a 5 night reservation) - Acquired through Priceline's "Name Your Own Price" - Received for a bid of $100/night (IMPORTANT NOTES ON RATES BELOW) - This was our ACTUAL HONEYMOON! Let me begin with the negative... there was 1 particular guy on the desk i wasn't so keen on - i'm not entirely to sure what it was, but something just a little unsettling... but the rest of the stay was brilliant, really enjoyed the room, location and hotel as a whole. Don't let that first line put you off... More

I stayed at Hotel Appia this March with my husband and parents after booking through Priceline's Name-Your-Own-Price (more on that later). Simply put: the place is a dump. It's in a dumpy part of town, and none of us felt safe walking around, especially at night. Random groups of men were milling around on the streets, and I had the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is clean and the receptionists where are very gentle and warm. I did not have any problem with them. They had an early breakfast promotion which my family enjoyed much. Breakfast is very good. You have many options and variety. The only problem I can say for sure is its location. Even... More

Didn't have time to write this review until now... Stayed in Appia from 26 to 29 Oct 2011. There were 4 of us and we booked 2 rooms. On the second day, we were shocked to find out that money was missing from both rooms' safes. One of the safes were left unlocked (and we clearly remember checking to make... More

Excellent 3 star hotel. Location in La Fayette area, not the best area in Paris, not dangerous just not upmarket and fancy. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel to eat which are excellent and cheap. McDonalds a block down. I ate most nights near my hotel as found the prices in the major touristy area expensive. Two minutes walk from... More

We booked this hotel as a result of naming our own price on Priceline. It was $122 a night. This hotel was listed on all sights as a 3 stars. No way!!! The rooms are very small, even for Paris standards. We were in room 605. It is next to the elevator and very noisy!! Between the elevator and the... More
