Great location. Great price. Rooms are clean but this place needs updating inside. Also, rooms above the main street rue cler are loud at night if people are dining outside at the cafes. We had to sleep with windows open to keep room cool.

My wife & I stayed here for three nights. The location is perfect - Eiffel Tower a leisurely 5 minute walk, Metro 3-4 minutes, Banks of the Seine 15 minutes,Champs Elysees 30 minutes. Capital City centre hotels. Small rooms and pricey, almost everywhere. So when you book a 2/3* for a couple of nights, you accept the limitations and hold on to the fact that all you need is a bed for the night to sleep in. But La Serre was not pricey.
