It's cheap, you have free decent breakfast, it has a good location and free Internet. But the room... The room was really lousy. Very, very small and the carpets we so old and looked very dirty. The elevator is so small that a big suit case almost doesn't fit.

The Villa-Fenelon is very central, easy access to all of Paris, walking distance to the Opera and, in the other direction, to Montmartre. La Gare du Nord is just up the road. The decor is charming if slightly tatty Louis XVI chic, very in keeping with the building and its delightful, Parisian lift, with period staircases for those keeping it.... More

Two close metro stations nearby make it easier for you to move through Paris. Otherwise the hotel is very basic, the personnel is nice and the rooms are a bit old but clean and I actually had an excellent sleep on the bed which was very comfortable. Staying at this 2 star hotel is like being taking back in the past, say the beginning of 1900. It so reminded me of the movie Midnight in Paris..
