Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We stayed one night at the Geneve as we flew of of Charles De Gaule the next morning. It was perfect for our needs. It is an older building on a side street which retains some of its older features and is not a modern, luxury hotel. It was easilly located and a short 10 or so minute walk from the Gare St. Lazarre with our bags. We checked in and set out to walk down the Seine and see as many sights as we could. The Geneve is an smaller, older hotel with winding staircase up the upper levels - there is a small lift. The rooms are small as you come to expect in Paris, but clean and complete with hairdryers, charging outlets and bright, new fixtures in the washrooms. Our room had a large window overlooking a shared back alley ( nothing pretty) which opened for fresh air. The breakfast is as expected in France, croissants, breads, coffee and espresso, dried and fresh fruit as well as cereals and was served in a bright room looking on the street adjacent to the front lobby. The staff were welcoming and helpful and booked us a taxi for the morning. The Geneva was affordable, in a good location and simply appointed to meet our needs.

It was unwelcoming. Did not have our reservation. Put us in a room that was not ADA compliant. Room was so small you had to go into the hallway to turn around. There was no heat in the room. The next day we spent half of it switching rooms. Still no heat, but lady at front desk got us a small heater we could plug in. Finally, later that 2nd night we got heat to the room via the radiator. Thanks, to our travel agent, Delores Strait. We got heat and an ADA compliant room with a shower that was not in a tub. The good points of the hotel was some of the staff. Especially, the lady who maintained the breakfast room. She was Grand. The ladies at the front desk were reluctantly helpful at first, then they warmed up to us and were helpful and gracious. The ladies who took care of the room were great. They are to be commended. To pay that much for a bad 3 star is ridiculous. If you want to stay in a room go to Astotel de Lorette. Rooms are larger and the ADA compliant room is much nicer and huge compared to this room.

Dear Sir, We are sorry you were cold in the room as usually the heating is too strong. We have renovated all the rooms in 2021. The standard is a real three star hotel. BEST REGARDS VIRGINIE

I booked this hotel via booking.com but upon arrival, there was a sign on the door saying that the hotel is shut and to proceed to another hotel round the corner. It's completely unacceptable that the hotel took bookings while it was closed and diverted me to another hotel without advance notice and giving me the choice whether I still wanted to book in that hotel (considering it was cheaper also). The hotel we were directed to (ATN hotel) is a hotel I previously saw and did NOT want to stay in. And the worst is that upon arrival to the ATN hotel, the guy at front desk had the nerve to tell me that if I don’t like the hotel I can cancel and go elsewhere! That’s not something you say to a guest who arrives at 3pm and doesn’t have time to look for a new alternative! I’m surprised how this hotel is even listed on booking.com or google, when they apparently have been closed since COVID.

Just a stone's throw away from Gare St. Lazzare, Hotel De Geneve is a small hotel. A simple clean property with reception staff being extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are quite small and comes with a small table fan which takes care of the initial heat when you come from outside. Its walking distance to the Louvre museum and other attractions. There are many shops and restaurants nearby as well. Perfect for a short stay.

The hotel is located very near metro and St Lazare train station. The staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly. Room was small, the lift - even smaller, but this was not a problem for me. I was in transit and needed to take a train to Caen early in the morning. Stayed only one night, slept well. Bathroom was tiny, but clean. Overall, you get what you pay for.

This hotel is a great location because of it's proximity to two different metro lines. Both are within easy walking distance from the hotel. While the hotel is not air conditioned - they do provide fans in the room.

Let me start off by saying you get what you pay for so expectations should be tempered but even then I found myself very disappointed. I will skip past room size as it's usually a given that they are small. The cons: - tired, dated hotel. the mini fridge has a VERY strong moldy odor - no AC, just an old fan - only two usable outlets in the room under the desk by the door (both which become occupied by the fan in this heat and the fridge to store chocolates in the hope they don't melt though i truly fear the terrible smell will be absorbed) unless you choose to climb onto the desk to unplug the tv at the top and your charging cable is long enough - room was not completely cleaned, garbage can was full with previous occupant's trash The pros: - decent location i suppose? To be fair I had not booked this room personally but cannot really recommend for the value or lack thereof. Suppose it may be a better choice come winter when you don't need to use up outlets on the fridge nor fan.

I stayed for 4 nights. Location is excellent. Just 6-7 min walk for st. Lazare station which has good connections. Opera and galaxy Lafayette in walking distance. Nearby opera you get number of restaurants with good options. Staff was very cooperative and friendly. Room are very small. Me my wife and my9 year old kid it was very small. After taking extra bed there was no much space left in room. Not even to keep our bags. Other than that everything was good and met our expectations.

The room was clean, the bathroom appeared to be recently refinished. The staff was nice and this hotel was in a fantastic location. They let us lock our luggage up because we arrived prior to check in time. We didn't try the breakfast because there are plenty of bakeries just steps away.
