I'm staying in the Ibis Besancon La City as I type this, having failed to even get into the front door of the Citea/Adagio Access Besancon La City down the road. When I consider the deal I paid, this hotel was excellent. No frills, no free coffee or tea, no minibar, no pen, but the room was clean and it was tidied every day, it was quiet and I stuffed myself at breakfast every day, including fresh fruit. And I watched Man U stuff Arsenal 8 - 2.
A pretty good location, just a 5 min walk from town centre. The room is fine, not inspirational but nothing wrong with it. Only bad thing is that Ibis block the use of phones (Skype, etc) over their Orange Internet service.
10 mins walk to town, parking available at a small fee. Restaurant was good and breakfast was also buffet style and reasonably priced. It rained at night here so we dined in and were very pleased with service and food.
