Faded elegance in a 6 floor mansion built by a cardinal. We were offered the room with the shower curtain around the toilet but opted for a lack of view and a separate bathroom. The hotel is best described as very French circa 1950 (but with free wifi!). The staff are incredibly friendly. Facilities are basic but clean and comfortable....

Hotel a Spelunca is found in the middle of the fascinating village of Spleoncato. The village itself is well worth the voyage there with lovely, twisting stone walkways and two interesting churches. The hotel itself is in the previous chateau of a Cardinal and is full of antiques. Although it had no a/c, no wifi, no elevator and no television,...
