We've stayed here several times, because of the location. This time we had a room in the annexe, which was fine, but the free wifi only works in the main building. The restaurant has a view over the Cher valley, and serves good food, but the service was a bit on the slow side. Pleasant garden to stroll around.

We have visited the Chateau several times over the years and during our trip last year with friends, we detected a slight shift of focus away from being a hotel destination to a top class restaurant with rooms. The restaurant is indeed excellent and the service generally quite good. Chatting with the staff (who I found friendly), it became clear... More

The chateau was very easy to find with a GPS nav, but the name in GPS was "Baulieu". The place is very romantic, silency and the food is great. The room decoration has a Provence style, but the bathroom is modern with bathtube and hairdryer. The place has the charm of a castle and the facilities of a boutique hote.... More

This hotel is simply beautiful. There are two buildings, we stayed right in the Chateau so I can't comment on the other building. Our room was amazing, the windows looked over the grounds, there was a vanity table in front of one window where I sat like a princess while I finished getting ready each morning. Definitely appropriate as this... More

We stayed for six nights and booked from the website. The chateau was very hard to find even with a sat nav. Level of friendliness was very poor. In the six days no member of staff ever engaged us in conversation other than say hello when we walked in and goodbye when we were leaving and what did we want... More

We reserved 2 rooms for the night of June 20 while touring the Loire Valley. Pictures looked wonderful on the website. The address is misleading! This place is actually located in "Joue-Les-Tours", not Tours, and hidden on a hard-to-find hill. After being lost for a couple of hours, we arrived at 9 o'clock in the evening, hungry & tired. The... More

I stayed 2 nights recently and the hotel is quiet, because of its out of town location and double glazing on my window facing the road, and is situated in a beautiful old building, set on an established grounds. The food in the restaurant for dinner was excellent, although the breakfast was ordinary. I cant be as glowing as previous... More

We just got back from France and would go back to the Loire Valley again. The Chateau de Beaulieu was fabulous. The owners are friendly and very helpful in giving you ideas for your visit in the Loire Valley. The rooms were decorated in French traditional style. Comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. We really loved the Loire Valley. Fascinating to... More

Chateau Beaulieu is a charming and very romantic hotel located just outside of Tours in the Loire valley. For a couple looking for a charming and quiet place to stay while touring the nearby chateaus, Chateau Beaulieu cannot be beat. The rooms are small, but charming and well-appointed. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms have all of the amenities.... More

We actually booked this place from the Office du Tourisme in Tours who did not tell us how to get there by bike. There was actually a pretty easy way using the bicycle path, but neither the Office nor the Chateau itself told us about it, which is pretty annoying. I actually called from the highway, to the Chateau and... More
