We so enjoyed staying in this lovely place that we had to come back. Chinon is a beautiful town, and you could find no better place to stay. Madame Helene is delightful, warm, welcoming, and provides the most delicious breakfasts, served in a beautiful little dining room. The bedrooms are huge, there is secure space to store a bike, and... More

Very much enjoyed our two night stay here. Pretty room, beautiful daily breakfast with fresh French preserves and baked treats. Well located, a short walk to the centre of town. Had a place to store our tandem bicycle which was handy, and the hostess kindly took us to a bike repair shop to help us get what we needed to... More

We had so much space it was incredible! This was a perfect place for our wee family. Our son had a separate room; our suite had tons of space and the bathroom was huge. It's great to have a refrigerator (it's stores drinks which have an honesty bar and we stashed our cheese in it). Helen and Jean Michel are... More

We stayed here in May 2011 and loved every moment of our stay. Our hosts, Helene & Jean Michel are so lovely & friendly. They even gave us a laptop to catch up on our emails which was fantastic as we were tired of searching out internet cafes. The breakfast was great and served in a gorgeous little dining room.... My 13 year old daughter and I spent 4 nights here exploring Chinon and the surrounding area. Helene and Jean Michel are perfect hosts and their property is delightful. The location provides excellent access to the centre of Chinon, just a few minutes stroll away. We cycled along some of the many and well sign posted cycle routes around Chinon... More

A fantastic B&B where the owner will make you feel like one of the family. Our room was actually two bedrooms overlooking the garden. We had a wonderful sleep. THe owner is bubbly and cheerful and full of great tips and provides a wonderful breakfast. She also provided free drinks from a mini fridge. And, she let us have an... More

I'm just sorry that TripAdvisor doesn't have a 6 star rating system since this B&B richly deserves 6 stars!. Consider yourself lucky if you get to stay here! No need to repeat all the wonderful things that everyone else had written..Believe me, it's all true and all the praise has been earned! (This is not always true with review for... More

We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our month in France. Couldn't think of a nicer way to start our holiday, particularly after a very tiring trip from Australia. The B&B is only a short walk to central Chinon, which is a lovely old town to explore. Our hosts, Helene and Jean-Michel are very friendly and obliging. We... More

If you like intimate settings, this is the place to be. The suite Saint Mexme, overlooking from its romantic balcony a 16th century chapel, and in itself part of the convent's original 16th century compound, is very spacious. The large living room with a comfortable récamier and an overstuffed armchair, is further furnished with exquisite antiques and all the comforts... More
