As far as the hotel goes, it is a nice, small, clean hotel that you can stay in. Sadly, it is a bit out of the centre of town, but a 10-min walk gets you to all the main places to see, so it isn't too bad. Rooms apparently are soundproof, and I can vouch that it was nice and... More

We stayed here and had an attic room. It was cozy but a bit dated--had the feel of a B&B. It was very easy to overlook the quarters because the hotel is run by a chef who also runs the kitchen and who produces stellar food. Absolutely suberb. A five star restaurant. More

I have to highly recommend this restaurant. Absolutely delicious and well portioned courses. Service was exceptional, our waiter was very knowledgeable and his service was effortless and friendly. Unpretentious, cozy place. I will definitely have to go back to France to eat here again. We also stayed in a room upstairs. Our room was nice and clean, not too big... More

Low tech and unplanned vacation. Arrived in Bloise, this hotel and restaurant highly recommended by locals. Found it, checked in. The room for $120E plus tax for one person, was musty, tiny, worn bedding and overall appearance, so not worth the money. Checked out immediately. Restaurant menu looks very gourmet, did not stay to find out. More

We stayed here last year as a stopover on route further south. We were originally going to stay 2 nights but our plans unavoidably changed so we had to cut short our stay which we had paid for in advance when we booked. The hotel reception assured us that a refund would not be a problem, but after countless phone... More

We were travelling through France and looking for an overnight stop and Michelin meal. This hotel seemed to tick the box, and from their web site looks rather luxurious. On arrival it looked a bit more Little Chef! The staff were friendly enough and despite arriving 2 hours late were more than happy to serve us in their restaurant. And... More

We were relegated to the hot, cramped, attic 4-person chamber that I think is reserved for people that the hotel staff did not like very much - and the senior manager was quite noticeably rude to my husband who was being polite and friendly, while he enquired about dinner reservations for two that night, thus causing my two daughters to... The location is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the center of town, and about 5 minutes walk from the train station. Parking is free (if you are using a GPS go one additional exit on the roundabout and the parking will be just on your right). The room we had reminded me of a cross between a generic European... We booked this hotel based on a highly recommended review from Fodors - if only we had went to Tripadvisor first. Contrary to what Fodors stated this is probably equivalent to a below average roadside motel. The hotel is not conveniently located - about a 20 minute walk from the city center on the side of a busy road. Our... More

We called the Hotel Medicis after the hotel we had originally booked in Vouvray (Domaine des Bidaudieres) turned out to be not to our expectations. When we arrived at the Medici...we were warmly greeted and led up to our triple suite on the 3rd floor (beware that there is no elevator!). Our room was beautiful...decorated in red and white...simply charming.... More
