Great if you want something special. Beautiful, small hotel near the basilic. Charming owners. Very calm and cosy. Amazing wisteria, full of flowers when we went. The bathrooms look a little bit old, but the charm of the place is really worth it.

A perfect location to stay in Vézelay, so close to the cathedral. The hotel is charming, with historic features, and a sweet outside terrace to enjoy a coffee or tea under the glycerine. The rooms were comfortable, clean, quiet, and nicely furnished. The owner is very welcoming. I had a fabulous time, and will return again.
I've used this hotel several times in recent years when visiting the Vezelay and its Unesco World Heritage cathedral as this hotel is just a fews steps away. I always opt for one of the top simple rooms which are cozy (not small) and perfect for my needs. During my last stay, I looked out over the tops of Vezelay's...

A find in the midst of the ancient city-village of Vézelay. Roomy rooms in 18th century style, quiet atmosphere, and a host very interested in photography, with a rare collection of cameras. For anybody who wants a tranquil room in order to write, or just rest, this is it! Very practical location near the magnificent cathedral of St. Madeleine.
The contrast betwenn this hotel and our previous chain hotel was phenomenal.
The location is very good - almost at the top of the hill. To get there, you need to go right up to the top of the one way street leading to the Abbey and then park in the car park just before the end or in the...

I had a very enjoyable stay at Les Glycines. An excellent location at the foot of the Basillica. The owner, who is now also the chef, and a very good one! was very friendly and took the time to tell me about all the sights to see in the town of Vezelay in very good English. She told me of...

We only had a lunch there and did not stay at the hotel. The lunch was served in the lovely front courtyard under the glycines. Our child was givne a lovely old high chair and even a toy to keep her busy. it all seemed great at the start. Unfortunately, the food was tasteless (not even enough salt) and the...

My goodness this is a pretty place, just steps from the stunning Basilique Ste-Madeleine (Basilica Church of St. Mary Magdalene)! Vézelay is a bit complicated to reach without a car and there are not a lot of hotel options (at 69 euros for a double, this is more than we usually pay for a budget hotel) but the town and...

This hotel is very well situated in Vezelay, just below the church, where there was plenty of parking while we were there.
The building was quirky and characterful. The owner showed us to the room when we arrived, but then announced he was going out and that the restaurant would be closed that night! The place after that was locked...

We stayed for two nights in an old, beamed attic room. The church clock didn't bother us as it seemed to stop during the night. There is no TV or coffee/tea making facility but we didn't expect any. Intrigued by the hole in the floor of the breakfast room where food used to be dropped down to pilgrims staying in...
