This is a truly delightful chambre d'hote. Our room was comfortable with an amazing bathroom, spotlessly clean. We were welcomed by the owner's sister as the owners were away for the weekend. She took on the role perfectly and was a great cook and great company, chatting with us around the dinner table as she served delicious food. The swimming... More

We stayed at La Cimentelle just for one night - a stopover on the way back to England from a holiday in the south of France. We could not have picked a more magical place to stay - if only for longer! The house and grounds are beautiful, our room for us and our boys was stunningly furnished with a... More

I hope I am not too jet lagged to give La Cimentelle the review it deserves. This was our first stop in France; we stayed for 2 nights. The inn and the grounds are as charming as any place we have stayed. It has been in the family for generations, once being a cement factory (hence, the name). We originally... More

We stayed at La Cimentelle for two nights and highly recommend this inn. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and rustic. We stayed in the Barthelemy room. The inn grounds are quiet and beautiful, as are all the common spaces in the inn. Stephan and Nathalie are wonderful hosts, providing good recommendations on sights in the area. Before we arrived,... We stayed here for two nights in September and fell in love with the place! The house itself is beautiful and the pool area is a real sun-trap so wonderful to relax in. We ate out the first night in Avallon (at Le Relais des Gourmets, highly recommended!) but ate at La Cimentelle the next evening. Make sure you do... More

A real find. The old mansion is well maintained with beautiful gardens and friendly and helpful hosts. The bath in Honore is spectacular. Probably the prettiest bath have seen. The dinners are excellent and bountiful. Four courses with wine and coffe for 30 Euros. There are also cooking classes available although i did not partake. The surroudging area is interesting... My husband and I stayed at La Cimentelle for one night, although we would have stayed two had a room been available. Our trusty GPS got us right to the driveway (highly recommend a GPS for driving through France - our Michelin map would not have sufficed). The house is gorgeous, quite old and modern at the same time, beautifully... More

We stayed at la Cimentelle for a weekend night with 2 young children and it was a perfect place to explore the region (Chablis, Abbaie de Fontenay, Vezelay, etc). The B&B is quite spectacular: beautiful old house, very peaceful and quiet with a large garden around. There is also a swimming pool. More

We had an amazing 10 days here in August, 2011. We stayed at the villa, which is behind the main house. The great thing about it, is that it has its own entrance and a lovely area with chairs and table to relax away from all the other guests. So its very private from the bed and breakfast. A warm...
